Job summary

The Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance in Oxford invites applications for a Research Assistant in Machine Learning and Quantitative Finance. The post is fixed-term for one year and reports to Professors Álvaro Cartea and Mihai Cucuringu.

• This degree in mathematics, statistics, CS, engineering or related quantitative discipline is required or nearly completed.
• Relevant research experience and ability to work within established research programmes.
• Experience with machine learning and statistical methods is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Research at the intersection of machine learning and quantitative finance.
• Develop, implement and empirically evaluate new research methodologies.
• Prepare research outputs for publication and presentation.
