Starling Bank in London is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (ML Ops) to help build and operate our data and banking platform. The role blends backend Java with modern frontend work in React/Redux and cloud deployments on AWS.

You will own features end-to-end, design REST APIs, write clean code, and work in a hybrid setup with up to two remote days per week. The team values fast, secure, and scalable software for a digital banking experience.

Qualifications

• We have built our entire banking platform in house and mostly in Java.
• We are looking for people who are truly full stack and can work on frontend and backend.
• Ability to design REST APIs and develop modern front ends with React/Redux.

Responsibilities

• Design REST APIs and build backend services in Java or similar languages.
• Develop modern front ends using React and Redux.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS.
• Own features from idea to live with automated tests and CD.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality software.
