Job summary

Starling Bank in London, UK seeks a Full Stack Engineer (ML Ops) to join our data-driven fintech team. Build scalable services, REST APIs, and frontend with React/Redux, leveraging Java and AWS in a hybrid setup.

The role offers a base salary of £70K–£110K, permanent contract, and hybrid working up to 2 remote days per week. Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants should be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• We are looking for a true full stack, comfortable polishing frontend with React/Redux and debugging Java services and database interactions.
• Experience building REST APIs and cloud deployments, ideally on AWS.
• Ability to design scalable backend services and contribute to infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Design REST APIs.
• Code backend services, ideally using Java or another server-side language.
• Develop modern front ends, ideally with React and Redux.
• Deploy and manage code in the cloud, preferably AWS.
• Take ownership of features from idea to live.
