Job summary

An established industry player is looking for a Mixing Section Operative/Counterbalance Driver to join their team in Swindon. This role offers an immediate start and involves ensuring the cleanliness of machines, weighing and preparing raw materials, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and at least two years of forklift driving experience. This temporary-to-permanent position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic production environment while working collaboratively with a dedicated team. Job description

We are recruiting a Mixing Section Operative/ Counterbalance Driver for an Immediate start.

Location: Swindon

Contract Type: Temporary-permanent

Pay Rates: £12.21 per hour

Hours/Days of work: 08:00-17:00 (Monday-Thurs ) Fri half day

Responsibilities:

  • Make sure the machine to be used is clean and ready for use.
  • Follow production planning board for required daily work throughout the day.
  • Weigh/dry powders - follow weekly rota.
  • Correctly weigh out raw materials for formulations.
  • Transport to mixing room and load into correct machine.
  • Liaise with QA for material testing.
  • When passed and thoroughly mixed - pour/decant as required.
  • Carry-out decants.
  • Ensure machines/bowls are extra clean to maintain the 5S standard - monthly.
  • When free of work - Daily Sniff Test.
  • Report any equipment defects immediately to your supervisor/manager.
  • Ensure mixing methods are carried out to the required specifications.
  • Ensure PPE is used as required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the working environment and surrounding areas.
  • Communicate effectively with staff on all levels.
  • Work safely and cleanly on all occasions.
  • Report any accidents immediately to supervisor/manager.
  • Ensure the machines are kept clean and free of contamination, are maintained and always available for use.
  • Keep waste to a minimum.
  • Print labels from label system.
  • Fork-lift driving when necessary.

The successful candidate:

  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence in house licence not acceptable
  • Previous Forklift Driving Experience min 2 years experience
  • Previous Production/ Manufacturing experience.
  • Team Player
