Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a Mixed Tax Manager for a well-established chartered practice in the UK. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, prepare and review tax returns, provide planning advice and build strong client relationships in a fast-growing firm.

You will mentor junior team members, ensure tax work meets deadlines and collaborate with HMRC where needed. The role offers flexible hours and a salary range of £55,000–£65,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in tax or accountancy (CTA, ACCA, ACA).
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients in a tax role.
• Strong technical knowledge of both corporate and personal tax.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
• Prepare and review tax returns and computations.
• Provide tax planning advice to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Manage and mentor junior members of the team.
• Ensure all tax work is completed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with company procedures.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Inheritance tax planning.
• Profit extraction tax calculations.
• Contribute to the development of the company's tax department and services.
