Job Description

  • Review and support to the compliance team responsible for the preparation of personal tax returns for a range of client's
  • Review and support relating to corporation tax returns prepared by the accounts department
  • Managing a varied portfolio including planning and advisory projects
  • Preparation/Review of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns, together with completion of 60-Day CGT Declarations to HMRC
  • Preparing/Reviewing ERS and EMI returns
  • Review of forms P11D & P11D(b) and PSA calculations
  • Ad hoc work relating to capital tax reporting, inheritance tax and Estate work
  • Liaising directly with HMRC in relation to enquiries and investigations
  • Supporting and mentoring the more junior members of the team.


The Successful Applicant

  • ATT qualified or CTA qualified
  • 5 years' tax and/or accounting experience within an accountancy practice
  • Good tax knowledge
  • Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook and CCH accountancy software would be advantageous
  • Strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Motivated team player
