Job summary

Expleo Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer to support the development of mission architectures for GCAP, integrating sensing, communications, survivability and information management into cohesive capabilities for future combat air systems.

You will contribute across the engineering lifecycle, applying model-based approaches and MBSE, working with industry partners and customers to deliver systems that provide operational advantages in contested environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM discipline.
• Applications welcomed from those with significant demonstrable experience without formal qualifications.
• Professional registration or working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mission system requirements, architectures and engineering artefacts.
• Support capability decomposition from operational needs to system-level solutions.
• Define interfaces across sensing, communications, survivability and platform systems.
• Support mission-level integration and verification activities.
• Conduct architecture studies, trade-off analyses and capability assessments.
• Support digital engineering and model-based development approaches.
• Contribute to operational analysis and capability development.
• Support programme reviews and customer engagements.
• Collaborate across industry partners, suppliers and customer organisations.
• Support technology maturation and capability demonstration programmes.
