Location: International (overseas based on organisational need)

The Role

As a Mission Pilot, you will use your aviation expertise to provide vital access to healthcare, education and economic opportunities to remote and isolated communities.

You will operate a variety of aircraft, ranging from single and multi-engine piston aircraft to turboprops and helicopters, navigating complex terrain and remote conditions with skill, care, and purpose.

Working closely with our client’s staff, partners and local communities, you will help plan and carry out flights that deliver essential supplies and services.

About You

To be considered as a Mission Pilot, you will need:

  1. An ICAO Commercial Pilot Licence with an instrument rating
  2. A Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
  3. Approximately 500 to 1000+ flight hours
  4. IELTS English proficiency level 6 or equivalent

You will also need knowledge and operational proficiency in:

  4. Weather
  5. Aircraft instrumentation
  6. Crew/Cockpit Resource Management
  7. Pilot decision-making
  8. Safety and quality systems

Additionally, engineering experience is highly desirable.

Due to the nature of our client’s work, which involves regular overseas travel, these positions are open only to UK passport holders who are also UK residents. This is because our client is only able to reliably secure the necessary visas for individuals with a UK passport.

As this position is for a Mission Pilot in a Christian Organisation, there is an occupational requirement to be a Christian.

About Our Client

Our client is a faith-based organisation that delivers practical support and religious awareness across the globe.

Contract: Full-time, contract of a minimum of four years, with the potential of extension.

The Benefits

  1. Remuneration will be a ‘needs based allowance’, appropriate to the place you’re seconded to, including spouse and child allowance as dependents will be expected to travel with the role holder
  2. Housing overseas is provided
  3. Annual return flight for self (and family, where appropriate)
  4. Non-contributory pension scheme
  5. Medical cover

You’ll embark on a journey that goes far beyond flying—bringing life-saving aid, essential resources, and spiritual hope to isolated communities with this visionary organisation.

As part of a close-knit, values-driven team, you’ll grow personally and professionally while piloting aircraft through some of the world’s most challenging and awe-inspiring environments, transforming lives with every flight.

As a Christian mission, our client seeks staff who share in the evangelical Christian values and beliefs as described in the mission, purpose, values, and beliefs statements. All staff will be required to actively support and demonstrate the Christian values of the organisation and to take part in organisational activities such as staff devotions, prayer meetings, and fellowship days.
