Job summary

Surbiton Hill Methodist Church in Kingston upon Thames invites applications for a Mission Enabler to work with the Church Minister, providing support and leadership in pastoral care and church growth, and to encourage a culture of discipleship and Gospel sharing.

Responsibilities

• Come alongside people as a person of prayer and partnership for growth of faith.
• Develop new ministries with church groups and the wider community.
• Use IT and social media platforms appropriately, working with colleagues.
• Nurture and develop the spiritual life of the church community.
• Offer Christian accompaniment and opportunities for faith exploration and discipleship.
• Be a welcoming presence at worship and build relationships with newcomers.
• Develop partnerships with the local community and Holy Club initiatives.
• Lead missional activities such as Alpha courses, Bible studies, and outreach.
