Join Tameside Integrated Care Partnership as a Missing from Home Project Worker, dedicated to safeguarding vulnerable young people. Engage with youth, create safety plans, and collaborate with partners to reduce missing episodes and promote wellbeing in Tameside's community.
Assessment Date: To be arranged
The role
The Missing from Home Project Worker role is to support Tameside by ensuring that young people who go missing are independently interviewed within 72 hours of notification. The service is central to Tameside’s strategy to safeguard young people from harm and vulnerability. We are looking for a committed individual who can successfully engage young people and is comfortable working in close collaboration with statutory partners. You will join our dynamic, ambitious team, playing a key role in engaging young people, often for the first time. Young people are listened to carefully, and safety plans are developed to help eliminate the risks of going missing, alongside strategies to steer them on a brighter path.
Our aim is to reduce the number of missing episodes and prevent potential harm. You will also attend statutory meetings when needed and participate in the monthly missing from home panel meetings to provide updates on young people who frequently go missing.
The service operates within a broader framework of contextual safeguarding in Tameside.
About you
We are seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills, as well as the ability to build positive relationships with children, young people, and families.
