Software Systems Engineer

The Software Systems Engineer develops, modifies, and codes software systems and programming applications. Responsible for evaluating and preparing system engineering and technical analyses; documents, proposals for change, and other technical documentation.

General Responsibilities

1. Key participant in the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting, and workflow processes with database communication.
2. Collaborate on analyzing existing software and improving processes.
3. Organize the Design and Test Lab departments on requirements of new functionality.
4. Key participant in integrating in-house software for test equipment.
5. Participate in on-site software debugging, machine adaptation, and optimization.

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree (Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
• Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong ethical values and integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.

Desirable Criteria

• MCSA & or MCSE in MS SQL.
• 3+ years' experience in developing MES applications.
• Experience with machine integration and data collection.
• Data optimization and report creation experience.
• Proven performance improvement in database management.
• Experience with SQL Database Migration, Restoration, and Maintenance.
• Knowledge of data transformation and ETL processes.
• Data Warehousing experience.

Additional Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop MES production applications, integrating shop floor data with enterprise systems.
• Work on Smart Factory Solutions as part of Industry 4.0 Strategy.
• Modify and optimize existing systems; develop new opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
• Create reporting tools for end users.
• Provide production support for existing systems and processes.
• Train end users on new functions and systems.
• Manage database backups, recovery, and security measures.

Additional Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of experience or Master's degree with 2-4 years of experience.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, VB.net, C#.net, ASP, ASP.net, SSMS, REST API, Agile, Cyber Security Protocols.
• Experience with SQL Server 2008R2 – 2022.
• Ability to create and deliver documentation and peer training.
