A public sector agency in West London seeks a leader for reporting and data management systems. The role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with data regulations, and promoting data-driven decision-making. Hours: 36 per week
Location: Office in West London
Line Management: 5 staff members
Main Purpose of the Role:
To lead the development and implementation of reporting and data management systems that improve efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility across the organisation. To ensure the integrity of data used for funding returns, strategic planning, and performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to departmental strategy and align team objectives with organisational goals.
Manage a team responsible for data validation, reporting, and extraction.
Implement a standardised reporting framework across systems, including exception reporting.
Define and maintain business processes and data protocols, particularly for funding-related data.
Identify and deliver system improvements through the adoption of new data technologies.
Work collaboratively with managers to ensure data reflects accurate performance and delivery.
Maintain strong working relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
Produce clear, user-focused reports from multiple databases.
Provide data analysis and explain any anomalies or trends.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and user guidance.
Ensure planning and forecasting tools support accurate reporting and profiling.
Promote a culture of data-led decision-making across the organisation.
Ensure compliance with data protection laws (DPA, GDPR), funding agency guidance, and audit requirements.
Oversee the accurate and timely submission of all funding returns.
Additional Duties:
Act as deputy to the Director of Funding and MIS when required.
Support staff development through appraisals and mentoring.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding policies.
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas.
Participate in training, professional development, and key operational activities such as enrolment.
Undertake any other duties relevant to the role.
