Job summary

Adalah Recruitment partners with a specialist manufacturing business seeking a Metal Polisher to join the finishing team. You will polish machined metal components to bright, mirror finishes using motors, orbital sanders and other finishing tools.

The role is on-site in Watford, 39.5 hours per week with probation, pension, private healthcare and on-site parking. Training will develop your craft toward long-term career in metal finishing.

Qualifications

• Previous manual metal polishing experience, ideally at least two years.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Polishing and finishing metal components to a high standard.
• Producing bright and mirror-polished finishes.
• Using polishing motors, orbital sanders, diamond cutters and other finishing equipment.
• Grinding, fettling and linishing where required.
• Inspecting work to meet quality expectations.
• Working to production deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Following health, safety, environmental and safe-working procedures.
• Using PPE and working safely.
• Supporting risk assessments and compliance.
• Developing knowledge across metal-finishing processes through training.
