An educational institution in Wokingham is seeking a part-time Minutes Secretary to take minutes at Board and Sub-Committee meetings. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience at a senior level and excellent written communication skills. The role requires flexibility for evening and weekend meetings. Job Overview: Permanent, part time. Salary: £15.22 per hour. Start date: November 2025.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Minutes Secretary to the Board of Governors. The Minutes Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at all main Board and Sub-Committee meetings and is directly accountable to the Clerk to the Governing Body.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a minute taker at Board or senior level, excellent written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
At least three meetings per term plus an annual Strategic Planning meeting in the autumn term. Currently Sub-Committee meetings take place on Fridays and Board meetings take place on Saturdays. Meetings will be held either on site or remotely.
The role requires some flexibility to work evenings and weekends to attend and minute meetings.
