Our MOD Dentistsaim is to maximise the deployability of the Population at Risk, providingclinical outputs, improving, and managing the dental health and operationalfitness of service personnel for whom they are responsible for.
Within your contracted weekly hours, 2 hours may be attributed to nonclinicalactivities including practice meetings, training, and personal administration. The remainder of the contracted hoursare to be utilised to provide clinical outputs and work will be directedtowards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness ofpersonnel for whom you are responsible.

All employees joining Ministry of Defence who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a 6-month probation period (unless otherwise advised) effective from the employment start date.

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.
This role may hold Line management responsibilities, thiswill be discussed and decided on once in post.
As part of the dental team you may be called to coveron-call duties, outside of normal working hours, and for this there areallowances in place. This role may also require traveling to and working fromother local regional dental centres within the expected Travel to Work Area, asset out in Policy.
