POSITION: MINISTER OF RELIGION – YOUTH PASTOR

Job Overview:
Restoration World Revival Church (RWRC) is a vibrant Pentecostal Church located in Croydon, Surrey, United Kingdom. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Minister of Religion to serve as Youth Pastor, supporting the spiritual and personal growth of young people within our multi-ethnic congregation—particularly those from East African backgrounds.

Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week (including weekends; additional hours may be required based on church needs)

Primary Role:
To support the Lead Pastor in communicating and implementing RWRC’s vision for youth engagement and development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Shepherd, mentor, and disciple young people.
• Plan, guide, and oversee all aspects of the Youth Ministry.
• Encourage spiritual, emotional, and personal growth among youths.
• Mobilise, equip, and empower young people as future leaders.
• Develop and implement evangelism and discipleship strategies for young people.
• Serve as a trusted confidant and pastoral figure to youth and their families.
• Coordinate youth activities that strengthen involvement with the church and wider community.
• Support the broader pastoral team with youth-related ministry as needed.
• To faithfully preach and teach the Bible in alignment with the RWRC doctrinal statement during Sunday services, weekly Bible studies, and other ministry settings as needed.

Accountability:
The Youth Pastor reports directly to the Lead Pastor for Congregational and Spiritual Ministries.

• A strong personal Christian faith, lived out in daily life.
• A passion for working with young people in a ministry context.
• Ability to communicate biblical truths dynamically and relevantly to youth.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
• Creativity and adaptability in ministry planning and execution.
• Ability to engage with people across different ages, cultures, and backgrounds.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• A good sense of humour, humility, and emotional intelligence.
• Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
• A Diploma or Degree in Theology, Youth Ministry, or a related field is preferred.
• Applicants without formal qualifications must demonstrate significant ministry experience or equivalent training.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
• Proficiency in Swahili is highly desirable due to the church’s East African demographic.
• Prior experience in Pentecostal ministry or church leadership is advantageous.
