Job summary

Gower College Swansea is seeking a Casual Minibus Driver to transport learners to activities and between campuses. The role suits a conscientious and approachable person with a flexible attitude.

The successful candidate should communicate well with young people and ideally hold Category D1 (or equivalent) and MIDAS training. Ad-hoc hours apply, with payment in arrears after each period.

Qualifications

• This role requires a full, clean driving licence, ideally Category D1 or equivalent.
• MIDAS training in-house is desirable.
• Good communication with learners and a confident approach when working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Transport learners to activities and between campuses.

Location: Swansea

We are looking for drivers to support our sports academy programmes, Independent Living Skills and other learning areas, by transporting learners to activities and between campuses. Driving College minibuses and other vehicles as required, this post would suit a person with a conscientious, approachable and flexible attitude.

The successful candidate should be a good communicator and be confident in working with young people. A first aid and manual handling qualification would be advantageous.

A full, clean driving licence is essential for this post, with ideally Category D1 or equivalent, as is the commitment to undertake mandatory in house MIDAS training.

This position is for ad-hoc hours as and when requested by departments. The post holder will be paid one month in arrears.
