Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting a Driver/Attendant to transport vulnerable service users to and from schools, day centres, colleges and other establishments. The role includes driving a minibus, ensuring wheelchairs are secured and safety equipment is used correctly.

You will perform daily vehicle safety checks, keep the logbook up to date and maintain a clean vehicle. This is a 24‑hour per week, 12‑month fixed term contract with enhanced DBS required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a minibus or carry out attendant duties transporting clients with varying needs.
• Secure wheelchairs and ensure safety equipment is in full working order; report incidents.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, logbook entries and keep the vehicle clean inside and out.
