Job summary

The King’s Worcester is seeking reliable minibus drivers to transport pupils to and from school from Year 3 to Year 13. You will work from the Senior School in Worcester, driving on set routes before and after school and providing cover for trips and staff absences.

Applicants must be over 21 with a D1 licence held for at least 2 years and be willing to undertake further driver training. The role is on a zero hours contract during term time with potential up to 25 hours per week on a rota.

Job description

We are looking for individuals to join our friendly pool of Minibus Drivers. Our pool of minibus drivers provide reliable pupil transport to and from the King’s Schools. You will be based at the Senior School in the centre of Worcester.

Working as part of the pool, could involve:

  • Driving set routes, before and after school, to collect and return pupils, ranging from Year 3 to Year 13.
  • Ad hoc driving duties for school trips and fixtures and to provide cover in cases of staff sickness and holiday.

We are looking for applicants who are reliable, committed, friendly, courteous and professional. You must be over 21, have a clean driving licence with category D1, held for at least 2 years, and be prepared to undertake further driver training.

Working arrangements
  • Zero hours contract.
  • Term time only.
  • If assigned to a permanent route, hours could be up to 25 hours per week on a rota basis, Monday to Friday, 06:30 – 09:00 and 17:00 – 19:00.
  • £13.71 per hour.
