Job summary

Claires Court Schools are seeking a dependable Minibus Driver (D1/PCV) to join our Estates Team. You will transport pupils on designated routes, perform safety checks, and maintain records with a calm, professional manner.

Working term-time only (c.36 weeks) and 25 hours per week, you’ll contribute to safeguarding, road safety, and a friendly school transport service, with ongoing training and support from a welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Valid D1 or PCV driving licence.
• Previous minibus driving experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of road safety and compliance.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Calm and confident when working with children.
• Committed to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
• Flexible and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport pupils on designated routes and school activities.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic weekly maintenance checks.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and roadworthy.
• Maintain accurate passenger registers and transport records.
• Monitor routes, traffic conditions, and delays.
• Promote positive pupil behaviour and ensure safety at all times.
• Report incidents, delays, or vehicle faults promptly.
• Comply with all road safety, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and professional Minibus Driver to join our Estates Team. Working Monday to Friday, you will transport pupils to and from school and school activities, ensuring a safe, punctual, and friendly service.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, safeguarding, and vehicle care, while representing the school in a professional manner at all times.
