Job summary

St Mary's Catholic Primary Academy in Park Village is seeking a reliable School Mini Bus Driver for term-time hours from 07:15 to 09:15, 2 hours per day. The role is fixed term for one year and is paid at Band C with an actual salary listed.

You will safely collect and transport pupils to school, swimming classes and events, perform pre-journey checks, support health and safety compliance, and assist with basic minibus maintenance. A first aid qualification is desirable and DBS checks apply.

• Experience as a school transport driver is preferred.
• Strong focus on safety and pupil welfare.
• Ability to pass DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect and transport pupils to school, swimming classes and events.
• Conduct pre-journey checks on the minibus and report defects.
• Help ensure health and safety compliance and assist with minor maintenance.
• Assist with portage and ad-hoc minibus duties within the academy group.
• First aid qualification is desirable; training will be provided.

Band C (FTE Salary‑£25,583‑£26,824) (Actual Salary‑£1,189.45‑£1,247.15)

Hourly Rate (£12.85‑£13.47)

St. Mary’s Catholic Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a similarly enthusiastic, reliable, punctual and personable individual to drive our school mini bus.

The post is for 2 hours per week. Working hours are 7.15am – 9.15am, term time only.

Responsibilities

• To safely collect and transport pupils to school, swimming classes and other events as directed.
• To undertake pre‑journey checks on the vehicle and report any defects.
• Help to ensure that the school minibus meets health and safety requirements and be responsible for general repairs and maintenance.
• General portage and collection activities and ad‑hoc additional minibus activities to support St Mary’s or other primary school within the Multi Academy Company.
• A first aid qualification is desirable but appropriate training will be provided to the successful candidate.
