Job Description

Salary: £23,517 - £26,585 per annum FTE

Hours: Various Shift Patterns available

Base: Kenburgh House, Central Bradford, with occasional travel across the district

Responsible to: Service Manager

Benefits: 25 days annual leave (pro-rata), contributory pension scheme (auto-enrolled), probationary period of 6 months

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a positive difference to the mental health and wellbeing of your community? Do you have experience supporting individuals in mental health settings and managing challenging situations? If yes, we want to hear from you.

Mind in Bradford, in partnership with The Cellar Trust, is leading the new NHS-funded Safe Spaces programme. This all-age service offers various support elements including one-to-one support, outreach, crisis cafes, overnight accommodation for youth, and in-reach services. The aim is to provide non-clinical, supportive environments to help people in crisis stay safe, understand their feelings, and access ongoing support.

Team Leader Responsibilities
  • Line management of Crisis Support Workers to ensure effective service delivery
  • Managing shift operations, safeguarding, and incident procedures
  • Supporting the Service Manager with incident reporting, safeguarding, recruitment, and performance management
  • Providing crisis support via telephone and face-to-face, including group interventions
Candidate Profile

Strong management skills, experience supporting individuals with mental health difficulties, and the ability to work with vulnerable populations in a non-judgmental way are essential. You should inspire hope and belief in recovery.

Shift Patterns
  • 11:30 - 19:30
  • 19:00 - 02:30

Shifts operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
