Job summary

Pulse Healthcare Limited is seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client's team at Milton Keynes. The role is full-time and ongoing, with core hours and a busy laboratory environment.

The successful candidate will hold HCPC registration and a Biomedical Science degree (or equivalent), with Histology, microtomy and staining experience, and a strong focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory.
• Experience with microtomy and staining techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication.
• NHS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination.
• Support pathologists in diagnostic reporting.

Working Pattern: Core hours only

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client's team in Milton Keynes. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination. You will support pathologists in diagnostic reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory
• Experience with microtomy and staining techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• NHS experience (preferred)
