Pulse Staffing Limited is seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialised in Histology for a locum, full-time post in the West Midlands. The role offers core hours and an active laboratory environment within a busy service.

You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy and staining, and assist pathologists with diagnostic reporting. NHS exposure is advantageous and HCPC registration is required.

Formación

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Clinical histology laboratory experience.
• Experience with microtomy and staining techniques.
• NHS experience is required.

Locum Biomedical Scientist in Histology - West Midlands

Working Pattern: Core hours only

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client’s team in the West Midlands area. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination. You will support pathologists in diagnostic reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• - HCPC registration
• - Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• - Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory
• - Experience with microtomy and staining techniques
• - Strong attention to detail
• - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• - NHS experience (required)
