Job summary

Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. is seeking a Milling Machine Operator to join its aerospace manufacturing team in Stratford. You will set up and run CNC processes, monitor quality, perform routine maintenance, and train other operators as needed.

Competitive wages with a starting rate of CAD 30.85 and top rate CAD 35.87 per hour, plus shift premiums. Benefits begin after one month, plus pension matching and profit-sharing opportunities in a climate-controlled plant.

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 diploma.
• Experience: Related milling experience or mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC production processes.
• Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process; monitor production and perform routine maintenance.
• Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment to assess quality.
• Follow and record data in routers, IMS and production tracking systems.
• Train other operators as needed.

• Competitive wages – starting rate: $30.85; top rate: $35.87per hour + shift premiums);

Your Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC production processes.
• Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process. Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner.
• Required to perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
• Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
• Required to train other operators as needed.
• May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a machine for others to operate.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.
• Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required duties.
• Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
