Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced Miller/Turner to join a skilled production team. You will set up and operate milling and turning machines to manufacture precision components, reading drawings and work orders to meet strict tolerances.

Role involves operating Prototrak S Series and XYZ S Series controls, inspecting parts with calipers and micrometers, and performing routine maintenance. Candidates with strong mathematical skills and attention to detail will excel.

Qualifications

• Experience as Miller/Turner or in a similar machining role.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work orders.
• Operate milling and turning machines to manufacture precision components.
• Machine to tolerances of 15 microns or better.
• Use calipers and micrometers to inspect parts.
• Carry out routine maintenance of machinery and tooling.
• Programme basic tool paths as required.
• Experience with Prototrak S Series and XYZ S Series controls.

The Miller/Turner Role:

• Programme basic tool paths as required
• Proven experience as a Miller/Turner or in a similar machining role
• Experience operating milling and turning machines with Prototrak S Series and XYZ S Series controls
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with tooling techniques and precision machining practices
• Ability to programme basic tool paths
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
