Job description

Job Title: CNC Turner / Miller
Location: Cramlington, Newcastle
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, Days (38 hours per week)
Salary: 16.00 - 18.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling or turning machinery

  • Run test cycles and verify machine settings prior to production

  • Produce high-quality components to tight tolerances

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation

  • Perform in-process quality checks and ensure parts meet specification

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Work independently on low-volume, high-precision components



Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in CNC or manual milling or turning

  • Time-served engineering background (apprenticeship or equivalent)

  • Confident working from engineering drawings

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
