Job summary

Moog Inc is seeking a skilled Mill-Turner for the night shift at our Wolverhampton site. You will set up and operate multiple CNC machines and perform first-off inspections, delivering tight tolerances required in aerospace components.

You should be an apprentice-trained machinist with over 5 years’ experience on mill/turn CNC machines and a strong knowledge of tooling, inspection techniques, and quality documentation. BPSS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Over 5 years experience on mill/turn CNC machines such as Okuma, Mazak, Lathe, DMG, Matsura and Puma.
• Experience in aerospace/manufacturing with close tolerances.
• Proficient in inspection techniques/equipment to meet drawings and quality documentation.
• Must be self-certified with BPSS clearance.

At Moog, we prioritize our customers by designing complex, bespoke, and high-profile mechanical products. Our machinists work to exceptionally close tolerances, a critical requirement in the aerospace industry. **Key Responsibilities:*** Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes.* Perform first-off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.**Key Experience:*** Recognised engineering apprenticeship.* Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry.* Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.* Proven skills in a multi-axis/complex machining environment.* Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.* Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.* Over 5 years experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (Okuma , Mazak , Lathe, DMG , Matsura , Puma)**Additional Information:** This role follows a day shift pattern and may in the future lead to a double-day shift pattern with overtime as requested.
