At Moog, we're focused on the customer and for us, this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high-profile. Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.**Key Responsibilities:*** Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes.* Perform first-off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.* Capability and competent in setting up and using machine tools* Carry out own 1st off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentation* Proven experience in a machine shop environment* Competent in setting up and using machine tools* Confident in using precision measurement equipment.**Key Experience:*** Recognised engineering apprenticeship.* Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry.* Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.* Proven skills in a multi-axis/complex machining environment.* Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.* Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.* Over 5 years experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (Okuma , Mazak , Lathe, DMG , Matsura, Puma)**Additional Information:** This role follows a day shift pattern and may in the future lead to a 6.00am - 2.00pm. 2.00pm - 10.00pm or 10.00pm - 6.00am shift pattern. Candidates must be self-certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.**Security Clearance** Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
