Right Match Recruitment Group Limited, in partnership with an established international organisation, seeks a Mill Operative in Rainham, Essex. The role is full-time and permanent, with initial 8-hour early shifts and later 12-hour Panama pattern, including nights and alternating Saturdays.

Join a team responsible for raw material handling, process monitoring, quality control, and continuous production plan delivery. Training will be provided to develop milling skills and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Good spoken and written English required.
• Numeracy and data interpretation skills needed.
• Food safety certificate; health & safety qualification desirable.
• Previous SAP knowledge desirable.
• Experience of automated process lines desirable.
• Flour milling or food production experience desirable.
• Basic IT skills; MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Able to work in a team or alone.
• Open and eager to learn; Miller training provided.

Responsabilités

• Handle raw materials: oversee intake, transfer and prep to ensure high-quality end product.
• Maintain quality and efficiency: keep product quality, minimise waste, and keep the plant running.
• Monitor machinery: regularly inspect and maintain mill machinery to prevent issues.
• Team collaboration: work with your team to deliver the production plan and maintain a safe environment.
• Record keeping: accurately record paperwork to support traceability and quality.
• Problem solving: address and solve non-engineering issues with machinery to minimise stoppages.
• Training and flexibility: receive training in various areas to increase skills and flexibility.

Right Match Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established and international organisation based in Rainham, Essex to recruit a forward thinking Mill Operative to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and permanent role.

You will be working initially on 8-hours early shift, rotating on days Monday to Friday. Once the training will be completed you will be assigned on shift work, 12 hours shifts based on Panama shift pattern which will include night-shifts and currently every other Saturday.

As a Mill Operative, you will play a crucial role in the continuous development of your production area, supporting the delivery of the site plan. You will work together with your team on various production processes.

Responsibilities of the Mill Operative include:

• Handle Raw Materials Oversee the intake, transfer, and preparation of raw materials to ensure high-quality end product.
• Maintain Quality and Efficiency Ensure product quality, minimise waste, and keep the plant running efficiently.
• Monitor Machinery Regularly inspect and maintain mill machinery to prevent issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Team Collaboration Work with your team to deliver the production plan and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Record Keeping Accurately record and maintain paperwork to support product traceability and quality.
• Problem Solving Address and solve non-engineering issues with machinery to minimise stoppages and improve efficiency.
• Training and Flexibility Receive training in various areas to increase skills and flexibility, covering different tasks as needed.

What do you need to be successful?
