The Timber Group in Herringswell invites applications for a Mill Operations Assistant. You will help keep the mill running smoothly, ensuring clean, safe, and efficient operations and providing friendly, reliable service to customers.

You’ll be comfortable reading paperwork, working outdoors in all weather, and managing your time well when solo. The role offers on-site work with opportunities to learn and grow within the team.

• Operate infeed/outfeed machinery to keep processes moving.

• Communicate with the team to maintain smooth operations.
• Take on additional tasks to help get the job done.

As an Operations Assistant, you’re all about keeping the mill running smoothly. You’ll help make sure the space is clean, safe and efficient, while giving customers friendly, reliable service. You’re a key part of the team, jumping in where needed and helping things flow without a hitch.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely unwrap and wrap timber packs
• Operate machinery at infeed and outfeed to keep things moving smoothly
• Run the baler and keep it in good shape
• Help keep the mill clean, tidy and safe
• Make sure stock is organised and clearly labelled
• Chat with the team to keep everything running smoothly
• Jump in with any other tasks that help get the job done

What You’ll Bring
