Gregory Distribution Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Ex Farm Milk Tanker Driver in Haverfordwest.

The role involves collecting milk from farms, delivering to the dairy, sampling and lab labelling, and potential transhipment tasks, with a focus on on-time, quality deliveries across rural routes. The ideal candidate will hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence with current DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards, and bring customer service passion, deadline discipline, and teamwork to the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Milk tanker experience is advantageous but full training is provided.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently.
• Confident, polite, and collaborative team player.
• Excellent geographical knowledge for route navigation.

Responsibilities

• Collect milk from local farms and deliver to the dairy.
• Collect milk samples and label them for lab testing.
• Assist with farm collections and occasional transhipment roles.
• Ensure deliveries/collections are on time and high quality.
• Perform rural driving across countryside routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks using the company phone.
• Maintain communication with transport team on progress and issues.
• Participate in regular training to stay aligned with standards.

• Nights 18:00hrs - 04:00hrs

About The Role

• Take on the essential role of collecting fresh milk from local farms and delivering it to the dairy, ensuring every delivery is made with care and precision.
• Collect milk samples during farm collections and once back at the depot, ensure all samples are correctly labelled before being dropped off for laboratory testing, in line with quality and food safety requirements.
• Embrace a variety of tasks, including farm collection and occasional transhipment roles, adding excitement to your daily routine.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time, meeting client requirements and maintaining consistently high standards.
• Enjoy rural driving while navigating beautiful landscapes and countryside routes.
• Carry out comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using the company phone to ensure vehicle safety, compliance, and reliability.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing updates on progress and any issues encountered.
• Participate in regular training sessions to remain up to date with industry standards, procedures, and best practices.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience with milk tankers would be an advantage, though full training will be provided for the right candidate.
