Military Vehicle Mechanic (MoD, Defence)

Location: Ashchurch

Salary: Up to £31,500 + Overtime, 37-hour week with potential for a 4-day working week, 6% Pension, Company Benefits, and Long-term Progression Opportunities

We are seeking a Vehicle Mechanic/Vehicle Technician with NVQ2 or equivalent to join a leading UK Defence company. You will work on various military vehicles including Land Rovers, Pinzgauers, Quads, Jackals, Coyotes, Tracked Vehicles, and more.

This role offers on-the-job training, development, and long-term career progression with excellent working conditions and benefits. The company has a history of over 100 years and provides extensive training, funded qualifications, and exciting projects for the MoD.

Your responsibilities will include servicing, repairing, diagnosing, and maintaining vehicles, working with hydraulics and electrical systems, inspecting vehicles, managing materials, and completing documentation and test reports according to high standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least an NVQ2 in Light Vehicle Repair & Maintenance or similar, be local to Ashchurch or within a commutable distance, and be interested in working on Heavy Military Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and electrical equipment, including diagnostics and inspections.
• Following customer requirements, regulations, and technical standards.
• Diagnosing, assessing, and documenting vehicle and equipment status, managing materials, and completing test reports.

Candidate Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
