Join the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, responsible for maintaining and optimizing our warehouse and delivery network technologies. We seek motivated technicians who enjoy teamwork and focus on maintaining equipment safely to high standards. Your role will involve proactive maintenance, risk mitigation, and ensuring equipment availability and quality, supporting operational teams and leadership.

Shift Pattern: This role includes non-traditional shifts, possibly nights and weekends.

Key job responsibilities
  • Prioritize health & safety in all tasks, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on all equipment within the site.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, communicate effectively, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback and learning from breakdowns.
  • Maintain high equipment availability for internal customers.
  • Support and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
  • Manage contractors effectively.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Fault-finding experience in Material Handling Equipment (MHE)/Automation systems.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
  • Completed a full Engineering apprenticeship and/or qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent (City & Guilds Level 3, SVQ/IVQ, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with high voltage switching.
  • Experience with sortation machines.
  • Experience maintaining/configuring barcode scanners.
  • Experience with print and apply machines.
  • Educational qualifications such as HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
