Job summary

Royal London is seeking a Business Data Analyst (Migrations) to join the Group Data and AI Office. Hybrid 50% home/office, permanent contract. You will analyse data, map source-to-target data, and work with data owners and project teams to support data migrations and reporting.

You will engage with data dictionaries, source systems and the Enterprise Data Model, translating findings into clear requirements and artefacts for delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Data Analyst or similar role in financial services or regulated environments.
• Ability to interrogate data and make pragmatic recommendations.
• Experience gathering, analysing and documenting requirements, data mappings or business process information.
• Awareness of Agile methods and software development lifecycle.
• Understanding of data lifecycle management, governance, quality, accuracy and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis on data and business change topics to support evidence-based decisions.
• Support data mapping, data optimisation and sourcing to Enterprise Data Model.
• Collaborate with business and technical colleagues to understand data structures and mappings.
• Document requirements, mappings and data dictionaries for delivery teams.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support data quality assessments, migrations and governance across analysis activities.
• Contribute to timely project delivery and continuous improvement.
