Job summary

Royal London is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join the Group Data and AI Office, a hybrid role based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Alderley Park. You will support data change initiatives by collecting, mapping and analysing data, collaborating with source system SMEs and business teams to understand data structures and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Data Analyst or similar in financial services or regulated environments.
• Ability to interrogate data, map requirements and provide pragmatic recommendations.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements, data mappings or business processes.
• Awareness of Agile ways of working and software development lifecycle.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality and data lineage.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis on data and business change topics to inform decisions.
• Support source-to-target data mapping, data dictionaries and data modelling.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, SMEs and project teams to understand data structures and mappings.
• Evaluate processes and identify data-driven improvements and opportunities.
• Document requirements and mappings to support delivery teams and communicate findings clearly.
