The Role

As a Migration Architect, you will lead and manage the migration of critical legacy applications, data, and infrastructure to new environments. You should have extensive experience in planning, designing, and executing migration strategies with minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Establish ownership of critical legacy applications and manage them end-to-end through cutover and hyper care.
2. Develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans.
3. Assess existing systems and infrastructure to identify migration requirements.
4. Design and implement migration architectures, including cloud and on-premises solutions.
5. Create runbooks and provide technical leadership across mission-critical applications.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements.
7. Lead migration projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues.
9. Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process.
10. Provide technical guidance and support to the migration team.
11. Document migration processes and best practices.

Required Technical And Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Migration Architect or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with data migration tools and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Background in software development or engineering.
• TOGAF certification.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
• Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience with defect and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of database management systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Understanding of network architecture and security.
• Experience in modernization or large-scale transformation projects.
• Ability to produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs from an architectural perspective.
• Experience as a project manager.
