Job summary

Pertemps Dudley Industrial is recruiting an experienced Production Welder for a busy manufacturing site in Dudley. The role involves MIG welding steel components and fabrications, reading drawings and working to specifications in a workshop environment.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm with Friday an early finish. Pay is £14.50 per hour, with the position offered on a temporary to permanent basis to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding/production welding experience.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of fabrication and steelwork.
• Experience in busy manufacturing environment.
• Attention to detail; able to work independently or with a team.
• Relevant welding/fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding steel components and fabricated products.
• Working from drawings and specifications.
• Using jigs, fixtures and workshop equipment.
• Checking welds and finished products to ensure they meet the required standard.
• Working as part of a production team to meet deadlines.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
