Job summary

Aqumen Business Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced MIG Welder for an immediate start at our Carnaby site. You will weld mild and stainless steel to engineering drawings, prepare materials, inspect welds, and support basic fabrication while adhering to health and safety standards. Flexible to work days or nights with overtime opportunities.

The role offers permanent on-site work with a stable workload and training opportunities to develop skills further.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• MIG weld to drawings and specifications on mild/stainless steel components.
• Prepare materials (grinding, cleaning, fit-up) for welding.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality standards.
• Carry out basic fabrication and assembly as needed.
• Work to production schedules and customer specifications.

MIG Welder – Immediate Start – Days or Nights

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Start: Immediate / Short Notice Required

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 16:30

Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 17:00 – 01:30

Overtime: Regular overtime available during the week and at weekends.

AQUMEN Recruitment is recruiting experienced MIG Welders to join a well-established steel fabrication and manufacturing business based in Carnaby, East Yorkshire.

Working within a busy production environment, you will manufacture high-quality fabricated steel products for customers across a range of industrial and construction sectors.

The Role

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds while working from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding mild steel and stainless steel components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Preparing materials for welding, including grinding, cleaning and fit-up
• Inspecting completed welds to ensure required quality standards are met
• Carrying out basic fabrication and assembly work when required
• Working to production schedules and customer specifications
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
• Following all health, safety and quality procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or fabrication environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience welding mild steel and/or stainless steel
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and hardworking approach
• Flexibility to work overtime when required
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
• Welding qualifications or coding certifications
• Heavy fabrication experience
• Bespoke manufacturing experience
