Job summary

Major Recruitment Norwich is partnering with a local employer in Mildenhall, Suffolk, to recruit an experienced MIG Welder. The role focuses on MIG welding of varied metal components, reading drawings, maintaining high quality and safety standards, and meeting production deadlines.

Hours are flexible within a 37.5-hour week with shifts 6:00-14:00 or 7:00-15:00 or 8:00-16:00, Monday to Friday. Up to £15.50 per hour, based on experience, plus 22 days' holiday and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG welding on a variety of metal components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Prepare materials for welding and assembly.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work to meet production deadlines.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
