Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants are recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join a Kent-based manufacturing and fabrication business in Ashford. The company prides itself on quality and a supportive family-run culture.

You will MIG weld to required standards, perform bench welding and fabrication, read engineering drawings, and support the production team. You must have transport to site as candidates will undergo a paid welding trial.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of MIG welding experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environment.
• Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds.
• Good attention to detail and practical approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Relevant welding qualifications, training, or apprenticeship experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding metal components to the required standard.
• Carrying out bench welding and general fabrication duties.
• Preparing, positioning and assembling materials for welding.
• Reading and following engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Checking the quality and accuracy of completed work.
• Supporting the wider production team when required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
