Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in the LE2 area of Leicester seeks a skilled MIG Welder Fabricator to join the workshop team. The role involves welding/fabricating metal components to engineering drawings, with emphasis on quality and safety.

You will read drawings, work with sheet metal and various materials, and operate shop machinery while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. This is a full-time position with consistent Monday–Friday hours and Friday early finish.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using fabrication machinery and workshop tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude.
• Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding and fabricating metal components and assemblies.

• Using workshop machinery, including press brakes, guillotines and hand tools.
• Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling components to specification.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets required standards.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Working as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Job Role: MIG Welder Fabricator

Location: LE2, Leicester

Hours: Full-time - 07:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday / 07:30am to 3:00pm Friday

Pay Rate: Up to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
