Job Description MIG Welder

Kettering

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours plus overtime

Salary: £26,645 plus attendance bonus

Our Kettering-based client is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join their organization on a permanent basis. The role involves providing a high-quality, efficient welding service within the production team and wider operations department.

Working within a highly skilled and qualified welding team, you will use various jigs to assemble and weld products to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Carrying out all required welding work for the production of components to the highest standard.
2. Acquiring the necessary knowledge and qualifications for welding a complete range of instruments, ensuring quality standards are met.
3. Assisting in other production-related tasks as required by the line team leader or Production Manager.
4. Adhering to Health & Safety procedures, especially regarding manual handling and PPE.
5. Maintaining welding equipment and hand tools in good condition and keeping the welding bays tidy and organized.

To be successful as a Welder, you should have:

• Good general health.
• An interest in engineering, welding, and factory production operations.
• Proven experience in MIG welding within a production or manufacturing environment.
• A forklift license is desirable; training can be provided for the right candidate.

What we offer:

• A competitive base salary of £12.81 per hour, plus a £40 weekly attendance bonus, with regular overtime paid at time and a half.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30.
