Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 4pm - 39.5 hrs pw

Overtime paid at enhanced rate

Permanent position

GI Pro are recruiting for a MIG/TIG Welder Fabricator for our engineering client based in Northampton.

Offering a pay rate of £14.50 per hour.

Working day shifts Monday to Friday with overtime paid at enhanced rates.

This is a permanent contract.

The client - A specialist supplier and manufacturer of bespoke lifting equipment and general fabrications.

The role

1. MIG weld and fabricate on mild steel, primarily from 3mm to 8mm thickness.
2. Produce lifting equipment from standard steel stock sections and machined parts.
3. Utilize MIG (90%) and TIG (10%) welding techniques.
4. Fabricate using press drills, cutting and chop saws, hand and air tools.
5. Perform tack welding, welding, grinding, and finishing of products.
6. Conduct quality inspections.

The candidate

1. Ability to MIG weld and fabricate on mild steel from engineering drawings, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
2. TIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.
