You will be responsible for providing clinical, operational and professional leadership within the Maternity Triage Service, ensuring the delivery of safe, responsive, equitable and evidence-based care for women and birthing people accessing urgent and unscheduled maternity care.
You will coordinate the day-to-day management of maternity triage, maintaining oversight of clinical activity, patient flow, staffing, capacity and risk to ensure timely assessment, prioritisation and escalation of care.
Acting as the clinical lead for the Birmingham Symptom Specific Obstetric Triage System (BSOTS), you will support the implementation of the NHS England Maternity Triage Specification and promote maternity triage as a safety-critical clinical environment.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will contribute to governance, audit, quality improvement, workforce development and service transformation activities, embedding learning from national maternity recommendations and supporting the delivery of safe, personalised and compassionate care.
