Job summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in Harlow is seeking a motivated midwife to join the Maternity Service. This transition post offers supported practice from training to a Band 6 level, with a twelve-month preceptorship provided by experienced midwives at each location.

You will contribute to continuity of care, undertake homebirth or hospital birth, maintain documentation, and promote evidence-based midwifery alongside multi-disciplinary teams to improve outcomes for mothers and babies.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for midwifery practice in accordance with NMC standards and hospital policies.
• Maintain professional development in line with NMC Rules.
• Deliver Continuity of Care in line with national guidance.
• Maintain records required by statute and support low-risk care pathways.
• Work with multifunctional teams to care for women/people with complex needs.
