Maternity Assessment Unit (MAU) has an exciting opportunity for a part-time experienced midwife to join the team for a permanent position.
We are seeking a dedicated individual who can confidently triage, assess, plan and implement care for pregnant women over 18 weeks pregnant and up to 6 weeks post-birth. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced midwife to join our Maternity Assessment Unit (MAU) team.
We are looking for a midwife who enjoys providing care for women who are accessing MAU for pregnancy related concerns and can assess, plan, implement care in a timely manner, working within a multidisciplinary team, to provide women with high quality care 24 hours a day. It is a fast paced unit with a high turn over and we have just launched BSOTs (Birmingham Symptom-specific Obstetric Triage system).
Our MAU is an exciting place to work and you can gain varied experience e.g. use of Dawes Redman, research with our prematurity team, home BP monitoring service, ECVs and scanning. Midwives who are keen to provide excellent care in collaboration with a wide range of healthcare professionals including our obstetricians, fetal medicine, and obstetric medicine team will do well in our environment.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 midwife keen to develop their clinical expertise in our Maternity Assessment Unit.
