Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is recruiting registered midwives to support maternity services across Prince Charles Site and Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend. These fixed-term/secondment posts run for 12 months to cover maternity leave and offer opportunities to work in a busy obstetric unit and alongside midwifery-led facilities.

You will deliver midwifery care for low-risk women in both community and hospital settings, collaborate with obstetric teams for high-risk cases, and

Qualifications

Registered Midwife providing autonomous evidence-based care in community and hospital settings.
Collaborate with Obstetric Medical Team for high-risk cases.
Prepare and evaluate maternity care plans across units.
Experience in Ward/Team leadership or deputising preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide midwifery care for low-risk pregnant women in community and hospital settings.
Care of high-risk women will be in conjunction with the Obstetric Medical Team.
Deputise as Ward Manager/Team Leader in their absence and delegate duties to junior staff.
Be responsible for assessment, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for maternity clients.
Ensure the provision of high standards of care reflecting quality standards and HB mission.
Manage clinical environment in absence of Ward Manager/Team Leader and organise workload.
Under direction of Band 7 Midwife and with medical team, provide care for high-risk cases.
