Maintain a high standard of women centred carein accordance with Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust guidelines and policies. Actas a referral agent and co-ordinator of care provision. Establishes effectivemulti-agency collaboration across the primary/secondary interface to meet theneeds of the patients. Act as a role model for the development of clinicalskills and knowledge within the department team. Maintain a safe workingenvironment. Support the Senior Midwife in setting and monitoring standards andseek to continuously improve standards and the quality of patient care,including national standards. Promote evidence based practice. LeedsTeaching Hospital Maternity Services support the birth of approximately 9000babies per year. We are a tertiary unit with the largest Fetal Medicine Unit inthe North. We also have a Quaternary Paediatric and Cardiac Surgery unit thelargest Congenital Cardiac Service in the North of England and we arespecialists in Prematurity Prevention for Y&H.
