Pearson Whiffin Recruitment are recruiting a Midweight Graphic Designer for an office-based role in Kent. You will work across print, digital and video content within a small, creative team, taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality design across magazines, social media, events and campaigns.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio, excellent attention to detail and can juggle multiple projects while maintaining standards. Salary £26,000–£30,000 DOE.

• 3+ years' experience within a graphic design role.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects.
• Experience designing for both print and digital platforms.
• Excellent layout, typography and visual design skills.

Midweight Graphic Designer – Kent

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment are currently recruiting for a talented and creative Midweight Graphic Designer to join a successful and growing business based in Kent.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working across print, digital and video content.

Working as part of a small but highly creative team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, contribute fresh ideas and produce engaging content across magazines, social media, events, podcasts and marketing campaigns.

This role would suit someone with a strong creative portfolio, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high design standards.

The Role

Working closely with the Design & Production Manager and wider teams, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality creative content across a variety of platforms.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing engaging editorial layouts for print and digital publications.
• Creating digital assets for websites, newsletters and social media platforms.
• Supporting video and podcast production, including visual assets, editing and promotional content.
• Producing creative event branding, signage, presentations and marketing materials.
• Designing media packs, sales presentations and campaign materials.
• Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
• Collaborating with editorial, marketing and commercial teams to develop creative concepts.
• Liaising with clients to ensure advertising materials are produced accurately and to a high standard.
• Using AI tools to improve efficiency and support creative workflows.
• Contributing fresh ideas and creative solutions to support ongoing projects and campaigns.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a creative, organised and motivated individual who can confidently work across different design formats.

You will ideally have:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience within a graphic design role.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects.
• Excellent layout, typography and visual design skills.
• Experience designing for both print and digital platforms.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Confidence using AI tools to support and enhance creative projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different departments.
• A proactive attitude, creative mindset and excellent attention to detail.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience producing video-first content or social media campaigns.
• Exposure to podcast production or audio editing.
• Basic knowledge of WordPress or Elementor.
• Previous experience within publishing, media or events.

Additional Information

This is a fully office-based position, so applicants must be comfortable working on-site five days per week.
